PosiSep®X Hemostat Dressings/Intranasal Splints
Recognizing that each surgeon’s preferences and the anatomy of each patient’s sinuses are not identical, Hemostasis has developed multiple platforms of our PosiSep® hemostat sinus splints to meet those varying needs.
PosiSep®X Hemostat Dressings/Intranasal Splints are indicated for use in patients undergoing nasal/sinus surgery as a space occupying splint and hemostat to:

Separate tissue or structures compromised by surgical trauma;

Separate and prevent adhesions between mucosal surfaces during mesothelial cell regeneration in the nasal cavity;

Help control minimal bleeding following surgery or trauma;

Help control minimal bleeding following surgery or nasal trauma by tamponade effect, blood absorption and platelet aggregation; and
-
Act as an adjunct to aid in the natural healing process.
PosiSep X is indicated for use as a nasal hemostat to treat epistaxis.

PosiSep®C/C2 are specifically engineered for use in clinic and office based procedures.
PosiSep®C/C2 are specifically engineered for use in clinic and office based procedures and are intended to minimize bleeding and edema, prevent adhesions between the septum and the nasal cavity, and act as an adjunct to aid in the natural healing process. PosiSep®C/C2 offer a slender, easily placed, nasal dressing that allow for gentle placement and rapid expansion upon hydration for minimal bleeding procedures. Both are constructed of a patient-comfortable sponge which is manufactured from naturally occurring chitosan polymers. PosiSep/C2 expands to a greater volume for patients with no middle turbinate and/or a large middle meatus.
